- About Me:
- My father Owen passed away around three months ago and served in 6RAR B Company. He didn't talk much about Vietnam and our relationship was as I've learned fairly typical of a Viet Vet. I found this photo of Dad on the left and one of his mates who unfortunately was KIA shortly after. Dad did tell me a few things about the Battle of Long Tan and I hope the film includes the part when B Company found the mortar impressions and walked out with D company walking past them into the hornets nest. Dad really reinforced to me how close they must have been to the enemy, that I think really affected him after.
